Hey guys just wondering if you felt it was worth the price difference between the gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3r versus ud7?

Here are the links to the boards on OC website:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-235-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1692

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-229-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1692

The specs seem to be the same according to their main website:

Thanks For your Help

Differences between the boards are the following:

UD3R:
- 8 phase power
- No debug LED
- 1 ethernet port

UD5:
- 12 phase power
- Has debug LED
- 2 ethernet ports
- Big southbridge cooling
- Beefier MOSFET cooling

UD7:
- 24 phase power
- Has debug LED
- 2 ethernet ports
- Big southbridge cooling + optional northbridge watercooling
- Beefier MOSFET cooling

IMO I don't think the other boards are worth the price premium.

Spec in my sig is correct yes, it runs pretty much any game I throw at it just fine. I don't really think the Rampage 2 bundle gains you much, it's slightly higher clocked on the CPU but as far as I know that motherboard doesn't include SATA 6Gb/s or USB3, so you'd be losing out on those, the SATA 6Gb/s isn't huge but the USB3 increases are very nice for things such as external hard drives.

are you using SSD in your system? Did you also buy the oc overclocked bundle? I am guessing that you run all of the games on the highest settings possible. Thanks a lot for your replies so far much appreciated!

Not currently using an SSD, waiting for the prices to come down a bit. I play all games on highest yes and no I didn't buy the bundle, I bought the parts separately though the bundle is a good deal from what I can see.
