Hi, I've just been deliberating over which PSU to get for my new build. I know it's pretty important to choose the right one as potentially all your other hardware could be at risk or not run properly if you don't.

I was thinking about going the corsair modular route but came across the Coolermaster Pro Silent 700 watt instead. It has modular cables and is about 20-30 quid less than the Corsair equivelent.

Has anyone got one of these and if so what are your opinions ? I ideally want it to be very quiet and be capable of running the following spec rig :

AMD Phenom II 955

4-8 GB G.Skill Ripjaw 1600mhz

Asus M4A785TD- V EVO Mobo

a 5850 of some description (maybe 2 at a later date)

2 x 500gb HDD's

1 x Samsung blu ray drive

Corsair H50 cooler

Its all going in a CM 690 II Advanced.

It won a 650w psu round up at bit-tech/custom pc mag.

Its got long cables.

It has two 6+2pin pci and two 6pin pci graphics cables which is perfect for two high end graphics cards.

Its quiet.

I got one.

I have a coolermaster modular 850w,and while it does its job perfectly, the cables are way to short, making cable management a nightmare/impossible..done a few builds since using corsairs, and the cables are much longer....this is on a mid sized desktop case.
