Hi there I've got a couple of q's I'm finding difficult to solve via google.
1.) If I update my x25-m firmware to support the trim function after I've already installed windows 7 on the drive, do I need to reinstall the os?
2.) On a different machine than the question above relates to, for various reasons I've followed a strange hard drive upgrade pattern for my laptop.
- Installed windows 7 on a new ssd drive, backed up the drive using windows backup
- Replaced the ssd with a regular hard drive and restored the ssd image to this hard drive
- Replaced the regular hard drive back with a ssd drive, restored the regular hard drive image (that was originally itself restored from an ssd) onto the new ssd, would I expect it to be functioning as if windows considers it as a ssd install?
Thanks in advance!
