Asus and MSI arent limited to the catalyst 775 and 1200 limits. You can get a card by a different manufacturer, but you will need to either set up a custom profile on MSI afterburner to run at startup, or flash the bios to either msi or asus's in order to overclock and also keep the awesome powerplay that means these cards idle using next to no power.

If I was going to buy again I would buy an asus card.

Thanks guys, i went with the ASUS 5850 after seeing the release of the fermi cards. And good job i did as the 5850 seemed to sell out super fast.

I have clocked it to the following,
1.237 Volts
980 Core Clock
1180 Memory Clock

I didn't want to push anymore then that as its already getting loud/hot.



I'm happy with it, thanks guys

Here are some Heaven V2.0 benches for my 5850 at stock and overclocked to 1000core/1300mem @1.25v. Note that V2.0 is a tougher test than V1.0 so overall scores will be lower.
