Laptop display resolution always changing on start up

Hey,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 with Intel T2230. It has an Intel 965 Express chipset. The OS is Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

If I close the lid, when I come back to use it it has dropped the resolution from what I've set it at (its native) 1440x900 to 800x600. It says it's running drivers 7.4.10.1322

Does anyone know why this is happening and can help me please?

Have you tried installing and deleting the drivers then letting it reinstall them after reboot?

try disabling TMM

Computer Manager > System tools > Task scheduler > Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > MobilePC > Rightclick TMM > Disable
