Ok i might a little bit haha. My e6600 does 3ghz stock. I would like a Q6600 but im not goin the bay. Unless anyone here can sell me one?

got 2 off here. First was £80 and did 3.2ghz. Sold it on for £80 and then bought a bargain lapped one for £65. This is sitting nicely at 3.6ghz :)

I would look in the Members market. Loads of people upgrading to i3/i5 chips and are selling their old chip's. I'll stick with my chip but as most game's are not designed to take advantage of all 4 cores. A decent dual core will perform just as well as a lower end quad core.

it supports the q9400 from bios version 2103.
the 8400 isnt mentioned, but it supports the 8200 and 8300 from the same bios as the 9400, so i think you could safely assume it would run the 8400

Im confused cos it says the fsb is capped at 1066/ 800 MHz.. and reading an old thread a guy couldnt get the Q9400 working, but it was prolly before this bios? So if i flash it will support Q9400 and fsb of 1333?
