networking 2 machines one too have net one too remain offline advice sought

Hello there, i have osx im using for net browsing and my main rig is a dedicated studio for djing and production,

I wish too network my computers but i do not want any antivirus clogging up my studio machine so i can acheive the best latency times for midi synths


is it possible too block net access on my studio machine yet still have my 220gb wav collection available on my network so i want too have the machines networked but no internet access on the studio machine as i dont want any trojans clogging my system

my router is a belkin wireless n F5D86334

if anyone has any pointers as too what i should be doing too acheive this it would be ideal thanks

Yes, just setup the connection manually and don't put a default gateway on the studio machine

Remember though that there are some virus and malware programmes that could jump across your network internally.

Its not just a case of making sure it cant access the internet.

If the machine with internet access is fully protected you should be ok however

one machine is osx and the other windows , not sure of probablity but just posted in the mac forums see what advice people have on osx security

you aren't going to get any viruses that will "jump" between osx > windows, you'll be fine.
