Buying A house in UK from overseas

My parents in law have offered to buy a house for us. We live in the UK and they are overseas.

Is there any issues we need to be aware of legally and tax issues. Would the process be the same as buying a house ourselves except when it comes to pay my in laws transfer the money themselves to the solicitor.

I would imagine they would have to sign contract paperwork etc, nomidea if that could be done at a solicitor where they are

also I would think the money laundering folks would want some apperwork doing
