Just returned the dead 295 and getting a refund so, what to replace my 8800's with.

Still a possibility of 1 or 2 295's from someone here.

A GTX480, a 470 and a second one later.

A used 295.

Two new 285's.

Any thoughts - I'm sure there will be.

Sorry my motherboard doesn't support Cross Fire so ATI not being considered at the moment.

Andi.

I would go for a 480 out of those cards you have listed mainly for DX11 support & higher minimum frames. Waterblocks are already on the way from Koolance, Danger Den and EK. At a guess the price for a 480 block will be about £70-80.

There's not much "shopping around" to be done for waterblocks in the UK. Seems to be just one model per GPU, the most expensive one.
