Can anyone recommend a cheap and chearful compact camera?

Got a Nikon D50 SLR and a decent enough lens for serious photography but I'm looking for something to take to gigs/festivals/nights out. I don't really know where to start but I'm looking for something as cheap as possible without ending up with awful photos. Surely some of you must have been in the same boat, can anyone suggest a suitable camera?

I like the canon Powershot camera's when i don't want to take my DSLR.

My mate has a lumix, think its a TZ10 which is really nice too.

I can't get enough of canons ixus range. Colours always pop straight from the camera, and they're very small and surprisingly sturdy.

There's the ixus 95is for £130 or so if you want new (don't know if you consider that cheap), but if you're willing to look around on ebay then you can get something like an ixus 70 for a lot less, which is more than capable.
