I'm just back from my local Morrisons where I was going to buy a bottle of gin. I got asked for some form of identity, I had none and thus was refused. The two women at checkout had a debate and concluded I was 24.

I'm 39 :D

Yeah yeah I know, quick to the internets, but it made my week. Also, since when do you need to be 25 to buy booze??

People always tend to underestimate my age rather than over-estimate. At the moment, people seem to think I'm about 21, which is nice I guess.

its a challenge 25 rule.

If you look under the age of 25 but actually are 18, then they will serve you.

Its just a way of stopping under 18's buying drink, as a few can pass as 25

Should have called a manager over. I got asked for ID by teenager on the checkouts in tescos and i'm 39.

having said that, i get asked for ID all the time in the States, apart from the liquor store, where they know me now.
