1920x1200, wherefore art thou 1920x1200!

I see that all the monitors under 26" on OCUK are now running at 1920x1080. I know that manufacturers are trying to cut costs but I really love the extra desktop space on my Samsung T240.

Have 1920x1200 monitors gone for good now?

It seems that higher resolutions than 1080p are reserved for "professional panels", but I do see more of these in the future. I also doubt that 1080p is going to be a popular standard for PC users in the future, and a lot of people find it inadequate for work. I can't give specifics, but Samsung will release panels with higher resolutions in the future I can almost guarantee it. I would imagine others will be too.
