200 troops who specialise in IED disposal have returned to a heroes welcome today in Didcot, Oxfordshire. 7 did not come back and some were injured including a double amputee.

Around 200 exams, 7 years training and balls of titanium.

I have had limited experience of them within the police community where suspect packages are found and they are always cheery, cool as a snowman's testicles and have a can do attitude second to none.

While I admire and respect our Armed Forces as a whole, I think these guys deserve a special mention.

Welcome back. :)

Respect to these guys but the majority of the armed forces are low skilled, uneducated thugs who, if they couldn't point a gun straight, would be out on the street robbing old ladies.

What experience do you have to back that up? :)

My cousin came back on Tuesday.

Picking his medal up from Windsor today after being injured in a road-side blast.

Nice generalization there. I have met many members of the armed forces and not a single one struck me as anywhere fitting your description.

Yeah you're right. It takes no skill whatsoever to set up and maintain failsafe communications like the Royal Corp of Signals do. There phase II graduates arn't courted by the private sector at all. . .

We'll ignore the engineering knowledge the Royal Engineers don't employ when putting up bridges, the medical skills not used by the Royal Army Medical Corp, or the maths not used by the Royal Artillary when placing life saving fire.

To say nothing of the Pilots, Vet etc.

Edited to add: Welcome Home guys. Their fallen will not be forgotten

The large quantities of them I see on the train out of London every time they finish a tour of duty. Every other word out of their mouth is *** FULLY STAR SWEARIES *** this and that. The fact they can barely string a sentence together frightens me, also if you look at the vast majority of kids who fail school or just mess about, they all say they want to join the army (or police). :)
