Its a very good indicator that it is though for me personally I have always found myself IBT stable but can fail prime, wouldn't be happy until i've got my prime testing done

i know i like prime to indacate a stable overclock ...but was hopping that i could use burntest as it dosnt take so long ...with prime if you get it wrong just twice its 3days of working at it

I know what you mean mate :(

A lot of people are certainly happy to go along with 20 runs of IBT being a stable overclock, just found in my experience that I can pass IBT fine but fail in Prime fairly quickly

I know a lot of people say that about failing Prime after passing IBT, but I've only every had it the other way around. Just now finished tweaking to get my 3.312GHz clock IBT stable. It's been 10-hours Prime stable for a few days, but couldn't do the 20 runs of IBT. Think I've cracked it now. It's good to have both tests, I reckon, either way.
