i7 build troubleshooting

Anyone got any idea what the problem is?
when I power on the LED keeps flashes and the fans turns slightly and it does this every second or so, but never actually boots. the "clr coms" button on the rear panel is also blinking. I've checked over everything and it all seems normal..

What are your full specs.

Double check your memory is in the correct slots and you have installed the 8 pin for cpu power - this often gets missed.

The memory is in slots 1, 3 and 5 as it should.

However, the CPU needed 2 four pin molex connector, one of them i used had all 4 rounded off corners- does that matter?

did you use the correct amount of motherboard standoff's and in the right locations when mounting the board?

Plug the additional motherboard power lead in?
For system stability?

Try the components outside of the case.

Reseat your CPU cooler, you did remove the plastic strip from the cooler prior to seating it?
