I was wondering of anybody has got i7 980x yet and what overclock you got. I know there are reviews out there but I guess the reviewers will have been given cherry picked ones.

Yep but ocing is utterly pointless as nothing will even stress it @ stock with the stock cooler. If you want to play with it then water or LN2 is the best solution but high volts can kill it as someone from OCUK did with an ES sample so be very careful!

@ stock it will sit all day @ 3.60Ghz using the Intel Turbo Mode around 28C idle & always under 50C @ full load for me on stock cooler + AS5 ;)

Agreed - not really much need to overclock these-unless you are into serious fun for the kicks, but beware of blowing it.
