THIS IS BROKEN FOR THE TIME BEING DUE TO OUR SERVER BEING WIPED :(
I should be able to get it back up and running soon.

This is still in testing at the moment. Please let me know how you get on

I've made an automated script that everyone on here can use to automatically resize an image to something that conforms to the forum rules.

All you need to do is change your image url to the following format:

Code:
http://linktart.co.uk/ocuksig/?http://yoursigimagelink

For example, in my own signature:

Code:
http://bfbc2.statsverse.com/sig/clean1/pc/FrenchTart.png

Becomes:

http://linktart.co.uk/ocuksig/?http://bfbc2.statsverse.com/sig/clean1/pc/FrenchTart.png

All signature images are cached on the LinkTart server for 1 hour. All this means is that non-static images (e.g. stat sigs) will only update once every 1 hour. The rest of the time they'll stay the same. There's no need to save the image - it won't be automatically deleted from the server.

I guess it's useful for those don't know how to use Paint.Net/Photoshop/PaintShop (or are too lazy) so good job.

Just one question, you mentioned that "All signature images are cached on the LinkTart server for 12 hours." does that mean you want to users to run the script, see the resized image, save it and then rehost via their existing host of choice? The 12hr thing seems to imply the resized images would be gone after said amount of time thus making what I mentioned in the previous sentence mandatory :)

What I meant by that is that the image won't 'update' for 12 hours. This is really designed for people wanting to use things like the BFBC2 stats sigs that update frequently and fall outside the forum rules in terms of size limits.

Obviously for someone with a static sig it makes far more sense to simply resize it yourself and host it somewhere :)

edit: I've tried to update the info in the first post to make the meaning more obvious.

That clears it up nicely, thanks :)

You need to enclose your sig within [ img] tags as usual :)

edit:

Now you've posted:

Code:
http://http//linktart.co.uk/ocuksig/?http://bfbc2.statsverse.com/sig/clean1/pc/DukeRaoul2010.png

but it should be:

Code:
http://linktart.co.uk/ocuksig/?http://bfbc2.statsverse.com/sig/clean1/pc/DukeRaoul2010.png

I know why he would compress, just seems a bit ott (it's obvious on first glance) but I don't know what sort of limits his host has and what he has spare, so it's obviously his choice :)
