Well, these last few days I've been having a number of unexoected crashes on the desktop. The latest one being:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.48
Locale ID: 2057

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 124
BCP1: 0000000000000000
BCP2: FFFFFA80050AB4F8
BCP3: 0000000000000000
BCP4: 0000000000000000
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\051110-23883-01.dmp
C:\Windows\Temp\WER-25942-0.sysdata.xml

Does this mean anything to anyone? And could anyone help me understand how I view these events and where I can go to interpret the results?

I initially thought it was my psu, as I was using a cheap one whilst I rma'd my corsair but thats back in now and still having problems.

Computer is a per sig, not overclocked at all except for the ram which has been set to 1600mhz on auto voltage via bios. As well as crashes I have had a grey screen with vertical bars in it and the pc wouldn't even reboot after crashes fomrt he starcraft2 beta client the other day. Pulling my hair out now as everything was fine, playing avp2010 fine etc.

Just had two more successive crashes. No error messages. One was just as I was starting a game of sc2 and the other straight fomr desktop. Computer just rebooted itself.

Win 7 64bit. Computer went banana's today so did a full reinstall. Suppose it was due one anyway................

Touch wood seems fine but gonna give the sc2 beta a run now see what happens

Edit: I have a sneaky suspicion it was the ati drivers as my 5770 card started to grey screen/grey vertical bars, not sure if this means it borked?

Right update: reinstall has not solved the problem and I ahve rolled the dirvers back tot he ones which have bene most stable.

My PC is now doing two things:

Earlier mid game in starcraft 2 beta I got a grey screen with grey vertical bars. The computer then rebooted and my monitor said 'no signal'. Turned computer off and on and there was signal.

Then on startup it flashed up 'unable to apply overclock' start with default settings etc. Odd thing is I'm not overclokcing my rig. My ram has defaulted to 1333 and I've left it at that instead of 1600 to see if that was an earlier problem.

CPU/GPU etc not overclocked.

Please guys any ideas? Really starting to bald over this! :(

Well the symptons appeared to be the gpu but after the tantrum my pc threw today tried it in a test rig ina local pc shop and it passed furmark 06 no probs. Then got home and tried memtest and bingo. I am a noob at this so please bear with me. OCuk arranging a return and have also emailed to say it sounds like the gpu may be at fault. Anyone recommend a good test for it or is furmark one of the best?
