Can my mobo have two graphics cards? M4A77TD Pro

I'm wondering if I can run two 5770s off my motherboard, or if it's a big waste of time and money?

According to the website my motherboard has:
"Expansion Slots 2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (*blue@ x16 mode, black@ x4 mode)
1 x PCIe x1
3 x PCI
Storage SB710 Chipset
1 xUltraDMA 133/100
5 x Serial ATA 3Gb/s Support RAID 0,1,10
1 x eSATA 3Gb/s ports"

I'm assuming that it would need two blue@x16 in order for it to work? What is x4 used for then?

well, you could, but running one on 4 lanes would cause them both to run at that speed (slowly), so yeah it'd be a waste of time. If it was 2 slots with 8 lanes each it'd be fine, but 4 is a performance killer. Sell the one you have and buy a 5850
