Replacement tyre advice

Hi, I got my puntchered tyre replaced today but they never had the original continental one, so they replaced it with a nexen one, with the same spec etc... Will this be okay? (in terms of performance etc...) as the tred design is totally different to the other 3 and it looks a bit odd.

If its a no no, I dont mind getting the original continental one and using the nexen one as a spare tyre.

It's not really a great idea to replace a really good, high end tyre with a crappy cheapo one because its all they had. Whats the car?

with tyres theres no such thing as "same spec"

every tyre is different in its characteristics. Even the most expensive tyres behave differently other expensive tyres as some perform better in the wet than in the dry, some are more prone to aquaplanning etc..

The nexen one wouldnt be anywhere near as good as the continental one.

you possibly dont need the full advantage of high performance tyres then and will be fine with some middle of the range tyres

the nexen's are cheap junk though.
