I have a i7 920 @ 4ghz what's the best cooler to get? I don't have enough room for a huge one ( I don't think )

I have this motherboard

As youve said you dont want a large heatsink you are limited but here are some better than the stock heatsink:

The corsair h50 is superb and is very small and compact on the CPU.you do however have to mount the radiator/fan on the back of your case, not hard at all,you just have to remove your current fan and replace with the corsair rad/fan.

Thanks kmufc, a quick side question.. how does the 480 handle? I have 2x5850s in crossfire and I know that 2x 5850 is better but I would like cuda and so was thinking about getting one.

Brilliant card, but runs very hot,you need a good ventilated case tbh.

Cuda is not that available in many games, i know Just cause 2 uses it though

Ive had a 5870 which runs a lot cooler and uses less power but i had several issues with. Between the 2 i personally think the GTX 480 is better but thats my opinion

If you look in the Graphics card section on here many ppl with disagree with me im just telling you what my personal opinion is.

Thanks, I may grab one then... yeh i know everybody is split but i don't plan to use cuda for games, i want to use for video editing software etc as ATI version of it isn't liked by Adobe etc (I work on Adobe everyday and learning video editing at the moment) ... and does it support 2 monitors? as I plan to get another 24" monitor to help make video editing and codeing quicker.

WoW, thats a hard one, this is what l did -

We have a fridge/freezer > drilled holes in the side of the freezer section for cables. Installed PC Tower in the freezer section on lowest setting plugged in cables sealed them with a sealer. Using extension cables ran them too my work station.

Work's a treat and the temp's  beat's a custom water set up any time. :D
