Holy crap, those prices are insane 0_o

It's the same with the 5830 though -- I guess you're going to have to give it a few months for the prices to make sense... :)

lol evga have great respect for Europe, they keep all the 470' and 480's for the US and then dump the ridiculously overpriced 465 on us with a paltry two year warranty, mind you it's two years in the states as well.

Just to put a different spin on things and give nVidia a little credit, the GTX 465 is similar in performance to a GTX 285, but is cheaper, has DX11 and uses less power.

The biggest problem is there is a 5850 and 5830 that makes it look, er, less good at that price. Well, that and it's an expensive side-grade for GTX 28x series owners just for DX11.

If you were going to go with crossfire 5850 you might as well go SLI with these or 470 because the scaling is much better with SLI.

When these reach about £200-220 then these would be worth it.

Not much use to people on P35/P45/P55/AMD (the majority). NV's SLI tax is self defeating if you ask me.

THe only problem with that comparison is, a 285GTX(at its peak before its "lets price it so high it will appear to be in stock as no ones daft enough to buy" prices) was only £200, its cheaper, its faster and it uses LESS power not more.

This thing can't beat a 275gtx and wouldn't be far off a 260gtx which were going for £130 at their lowest, but realistically is more of a £150-160 card.

THe only way it uses less power, is because Nvidia has changed its TDP ratings, no other reason at all.

These prices are painful, you can get a 5850 which is what, about £40 cheaper, though I'll talk about a Asus Cu for comparison, so £15 cheaper gets you a card thats FAR faster at stock, and overclocks miles further and uses less power massively overclocked than this will at stock. This is a 5830 type card and only makes sense at 5830 prices. A 470gtx is an infinately better buy than a 465gtx. At £160 a couple 465gtx's in sli might be very fast indeed, but suck a lot of power, high temps, high noise and would be miles off a couple 5850cf'd and 5830's cf would match it for the same price. Unfortunately the £160 price it should be at to make sense, requires a £90 drop in price, not gonna happen.

Someone got given a 465 instead of a 470 from an american retailer.
After lots of digging around, it seems that they were able to flash the 465 with the 470 bios to make it a 470.
