my i7 came at 4GHz and my ram was at like 1550 mhz. Multiplier was 21x and the frequency was 192.

now i underclockd it to 3.8GHz and lowered voltage, for temperatures. and now my ram is at like a really slow speed. not close enouigh to 1660 mhz for my liking. i was wondering, how can I make my RAM nearer 1660mhz but keep my cpu frequecny the same?

the QPI link is at 181 mhz now can someone help?

Go into the BIOS and see what the next step for the memory speed is. I reckon it will be something ~1630MHz, which is pretty close to the 1600MHz, but it would technically overclocking the RAM. TBH, the performance difference of the system with 1448MHz RAM compared to 1630MHz will be negligible.

Multiplire for memory is at 8.0, if I make it 10 then the memory will go up to 1880mhz. i think its just best if I leave it as it is, as like you said i dont think much difference will occur.

thank you. my i7 930 is at 3.8GHz at 1.21v idle temps are around 40c, full load temperatures are around 57c. does this sound normal? Heimlach Rev B cooler or something like that :)
