Just as a matter of routine I would:

Code:
ipconfig /flushdns

and also reboot the router if you haven't already. The latter has fixed a number of strange network issues for me even when other hosts on the network appeared to be working fine.

Next time it happens post the output of ipconfig just to see if it sheds some light on what is going on.

Do you have any other devices on your network? Are they able to browse the net?
Everything there looks fine. You definately have your ISP's DNS server set on your router?
It might be worth changing your connection's DNS servers to google's just to test. Change them to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

If that doesn't work, try temporarily disabling the Windows Firewall.

Solved!!!!

Thanks to everyone for helping me get my thinking cap on.

Eset Smart Security - I upgraded it to Win 7 version and my interweb came back :)

I love NOD32, absabloodylutely hate "Smart" Security!

If i'd known that from the start I might have mentioned it can be a bit OTT lol.

Glad you got it sorted mate! :)
