How do you install apps on desire ??

I received my desire today but am a little puzzled on how to install apps/etc from the appbrain.com website...

Clicking install on the appbrain website with my desire connected to my PC by USB does nothing :confused:

Just go to the market via the app on your handset and install from there mate

You need to install the appbrain sync application from the market.

But again, you can just install them from the Market app on the phone if that's what you were asking.

Seems like i need a Gmail account for this to work...

But i can't setup a Gmail account as it don't recognize my mobile number

It just gives me this message

This phone number format is not recognized. Please check the country and number

Didn't realize you need to put a phone number in, register it on your pc then just log in?

Yes i needed to put my mobile number in..

But it ok as i got it working now...
