Last time i went to the doctor(side of my right hand has gone numb), topld them that on the phone.
Walk in doctor seems really confident and starts checking eyes, asking questions and all sorts even weighs me and says yep, you seem fine that'll do for your check up.
...err I'm here because my hand's numb
Oh... lets have a look, well there's no muscle wasting yet so it's not serius, try to change how you sleep.
:/
Great so it's only an issue when my hand starts dying

Now, you are allowed to reproduce, to the detriment of the human race .
Has your hand fallen off yet? If not, successful diagnosis!
Can i discuss more than one thing with the doctor or do i have to make seperate appointments?
1. I have a lump in my neither region
2. I may have a stomach ulcer
Got two hospital appointments however one is urgent and yet again camera down my throat
Good luck with that, hope it's nothing serious . How is only one of those urgent by the way?
My personal experience is that trying to have more than one thing seen to at a time agitates the doctor. You'll get your first thing sorted, but they'll rush through the next thing and not really do a proper job of it.
So...whatever is most urgent...do that first. Just in case.
Yep, I've enquired about 3 things once before, all turned out to be pretty minor but I found it more helpfull than scouring the net for advice.
You'd be better off seeing an expert like a neurologist.
GP's are the bane of the medical profession.
I'm not saying the GP is right or wrong, but to assume you know better is pretty ignorant
They can refer you for tests and see you with the results, or they can use the history +/- examination alone, and save the need for further investigations. Plus they can usually go blood tests, etc (and some can do x-rays) which may diagnose the problemA GP is incapable of performing tests which can diagnose the problem therefore a specialist referral is indicated.
ironically I got a better diagnosis, explanation and treatment from a med student
At least your GP doesn't try to ply you with contraindicated medication like mine does. I was offered quetiapine for SAD, jesus, the barbiturates would be safer than that!
if you saw a neurologist for a numb hand the consultation and MRI scans would cost near £1000, but any GP can manage it at far far less cost to the taxpayer.
