RPM Readings with a fan splitter?

Has anyone tried connecting 2 3pin fans to a fan controller that provides an RPM readout via a 3pin fan splitter? Do you get an RPM readout from one of the fans or do you just get no reading at all?

Thanks

id believe you would get one of the following dependant on its design:

1.Average readout - unlikely
2. reads one but not the other
3. Makes an estimate based on voltage so it makes no difference

i doubt that it would give no reading at all, all i can say is to give it a go if not just put the least noisy fan on a molex connection on full power.

You can add another sensor wire to the empty connector and connect it to an empty header on the motherboard if you want to see what RPM that fan is doing. That's what I did as I wanted to make sure that both Noctua fans didn't create additional noise by being spun at widly different speeds.
