hey! can anyone help me out with Venn Diagrams? im lost.. basically my teacher said you need to fix it/redo it but did not explain what was wrong.. so this is what i've done so far.. the other part is logic gates which is a part of the whole thing and i might have made a mistake with one of them (AND/OR/NOT)

I would say:
AND
A-B 0,1,7

OR
A-B 0,1,2,3,4,6,7
A-C 0,1,4,5,6,8,9
B-C 0,1,2,3,5,8,9

NOT
A 2,3,5,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15
B 4,5,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15
c 2,3,4,6,7,10,11,12,13,14,15

only differences i have from you are:
AND A-B
OR A-C
OR B-C

I can't see anything wrong with the diagram but in part C) shouldn't it be

A AND B = 0, 1, 7
A OR B = 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 (you missed the 2)
A OR C = 0, 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (you missed the 8)

And I think the rest are right

Might wat to wait for someone to confirm though

EDIT: ^^ Touch I think there should be a 7 in A OR C

AND
A-B 0,1,7

thats the problem with AND as the teacher explained if its in the middle where all the circles meet, it does not need to be showed in a-b(at the diagram) where i have the 7 and he said for me to remove it so i did the same in part C which is what confuses me now.. should i leave 0,1 or remove it?

@frying_pan_cat - thanks for noting them(a or b - a or c)

@touch - thanks, i might leave with 0,1 and you missed a 7 on a-c ;)

got any more ideas about 0,1 on part C?

thanks for helping out!

I don't get this. Can someone explain or point to reference.

A B and C are subsets of the numbers 0 to 15. The diagram basically has 3 circles to represent A B and C and where they overlap is where they share numbers ie. they all contain 0 and 1 so the space where they all overlap has 0 and 1 in. The next bit is logical AND, OR & NOT, so A AND B is the numbers in both A and B, etc.

0, 1 should be left in in part C since A AND B are the numbers on both A and B and have nothing to do with C. I think what the teacher is saying is that in the diagram you can't put 0, 1 in the part where just A and B overlap as each number should appear just once in the entire diagram and as 0, 1 are in C too they must therefore be put in the triple overlap.

I hope that makes sense
