Very quick SSD question (TRIM and unused space)

I've got my first SSD turning up tomorrow (or on Friday) and having read through some threads I know about setting to AHCI before installing Windows 7 and disabling Superfetch, defrag etc. after the installation.

The one thing I'm not sure about is whether there's any difference between partitioning only 64GB of the 80GB capacity for my system (leaving the rest for TRIM) or whether I can partition the whole 80GB and just make sure I keep 16GB free at all times. Anyone?

Don't worry about performance loss, you'll never notice it so may as well have the whole space available.

I too am probably going to order an X25-M in the week, and was confused whether to partition and leave 16GB for TRIM. Would this just be a waste of 16GB?
