woah, your standard volts is 1087? that's ridiculously high seeing as some start at 937

any way in kombustor my 470 @ 819/1675 1050mv gets to 76C max and in games gets about the same, 75% fan max, 40-41C idle

will have to try MW1 soon because at my last settings it crashed despite playing 3 hours of JC2 previous

He did say under watercooling...

I should have my loop together in the early part of this week (just waiting on my new CPU block to replace my ageing XSPC Delta), and I'll be using the EK nickel-plated block on my GTX470.

Idle 32
Load 49 or under.
Whole system allways below 50
Motherboard block and CPU on a 360 rad and 3x480's on 3x120mm rads each on separate loops
Just ordered a Asus GTX470, curious to see if there's much difference between the 3 on there own and 1 with physx on the 3 monitors.
Prob not much but I'll give it a go

Hi,

480 @ 890/1780/1200
Idles at 38/39 degrees after a few hours of being used and the room feeling like a sauna. The highest load i have been able to acheive is 65 degrees during the time my room is at its hottest. This is using a pa120.3 with an oc i7 on the same loop and fans at 1200rpm. I have a pa120.2 sitting here waiting to be added to the loop, once i do it ill update my temps so that people can get an idea.
I would guess my room gets to around 35 degrees. Hottest room i have ever been in during summer months, blinds and curtain closed, with projector, tv, monitors and gtx 480 etc pumping out hot air.
If i turn on the air con then my idle goes down to 26 and highest load at 51 degrees. Problem is im very sensitive to noise whilst gaming and watching movies, so dont use the air con much during the day as the noise annoys me.
Im loving the 480 as its allowing me to play smooth 3d games. But after coming from a 5870, its a BIG downer in the summer for me, as the heat from this thing is laughable. Im guessing during the winter months i will be able to chill in my boxers in my room, with the window open and the heating off.

Phil.

it must be really hot in the UK atm then seeing as I just cancelled by WC block order because my temps and overclock were great and didn't warrant paying £56 for better cooling

My overclocked GTX480 with an EK block idles at around 32c and on load with kombuster hits a max of around 60c. This is with a vcore of 1.1v @ (875/1750/4100). :)

3 x GTX470 @ 55°C on AquaGrafx blocks
1 x GTX480 @ 60°C on EK Block
All running of a PA120.3 radiator in the roof of a A70B
CPU is running 72°C off a separate loop but using the same res.

All at full load 24/7, CPU at 3.9Ghz and 470's core lightly clocked to 701Mhz

Just about to rebuild my loop to be a bit less restricive and move the CPU onto a bigger rad.

Ok, literally posting this after turning my new WC loop on for the first time (GTX470 w/ EK Nickel/Clear Block, Alphacool Highflow Bold AM2 block running through an 18W DDC w/ XSPC top and a Thermochill 120.3 radiator).

Haven't had the chance to run any games yet, or overclock, but initial impressions are good - 32°C idle... (previously ~60°C under air).

Just overclocked the 470, Core at 830MHz, Memory at 1850MHz, Voltage is 1.087 and there's more to give but I thought I'd leave it there.

Temperatures are steady around the 80 mark in Furmark under the burning/stability test, I'll play some Metro 2033 in a min and see what the gaming temps are like.
