Think it's better than that, supposed to be performance between a 5830-5850 and I think beating a 465.
News trickling out about cards being listed at american retailer, no prices there yet/pre order but models shown listed - 768mb and 1gb versions. There's going to be a gpu factory overclocked 768mb edition with custom cooling from asus available.

Err, it's lower specs than a 465 so how you figure that out...

hehe I'm probably wrong, been reading too much speculation and rumours on sites and forums. Happy to wait for proper tests before believing anything as fact.

Fewer shaders (336 vs 352) but clocked higher (675 vs 607) so the 192bit version is probably slightly slower @ stock, the 256bit version might be a touch faster, hard to say.

Very conservative clocks on the 465, they good easily ship them at 460 speeds.

Probably the same with the GTX460, the forum thread on Coolaler had it clocked to 800 on stock volts with a max temp of 56c. Hopefully it does release on the 12th then we'll find out for sure.
Though the GeForce GTX 460 is not to come out until the 12 of July some retailers decided to create hype by listing the new graphics card.
The GF104 has a major advantage over the GF100 because it is much less expensive to manufacture. As such, the video boards based on it should prove quite formidable and reasonably affordable for the performance market. Currently, it is the ASUS ENGTX460/2DIS/768MD5 that has been spotted.
The ENGTX460 will measure up to the ATI Radeon HD 5850 and 5830 models. It boasts 336 shaders, 42 texture units and clock speeds of 675 MHz for the graphics processor, 900 for the memory and 1350 for the shaders themselves.

wouldn't say much faster ~10% but ultimately we will have to w8 and see real reeviews.
