Ok, I've got too many problems with this update (no security lock, not being able to turn off flash and the haptic feedback keyboard is always on )

How do I go back to 2.1? The phone is standard and unrooted.

for security go to Setttings > Security > Lock Phone After > turn it to immediately.

dunno about haptic feedback on the keyboard i use swype and have the options turned off for that.

I'm no expert when it comes to flashing new os' on phones, but can anyone answer this please, if I was to update my stock T-Mobile Desire to 2.2 when the update shows, would I still then have the option to root in future if I wanted to?

Same here.
Theres a few very minor differences and everything does seems snappier in places where it previously lagged a bit.
But the thing thats most annoyed me is ive had to spend this afternoon recovering the phone, then remembering how i had my phone setup and install the apps from scrach again. :(
