Proper fryup contains the following ingredients:
Square Sausage (AKA Lorne Sausage)
Bacon
Fried Eggs
Potato Scone
Black Pudding
Beans
if you're in scotland... tatty scones too.
dont forget fried toast, regular toast... etc

Hash browns have as much place in a fry up as do chips and waffles. None.
They belong by default. HOWEVER you are much, much, much better off making your own. Even if you suck at cooking, they'll still taste awesome.
The only time hash browns belond in a fry is if tattie scones are not available.
For me, fry up perfection is as follows
2 x thick rashers smoked bacon/ayrshire bacon
2 x sausage ( 1 link 1 lorne )
and a large mug of strong tea
Obviously a man who cant handle the meat
You want to double the amount of those and add 1
Not at all, trick with a fry up, in my experience, is to know when enough is a enough.
Back in the day I would have done exactly that, cleared the plate and then had to call in hewden to crane my ass of the chair
