COULD NOT LOAD OPEN GL SUBSYSTEM

hello guys/girls i have a problem with open gl when i try to play wolfenstein enemy territory i get this could not load opengl subsystem its very annoying and i get it when i put my resoloution to anything more than 1280/1024. but my monitor is a lcd flatron w2253v 22inch. my system spec is i7 920 standard gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P 6gb ocz gold and a radeon XfX 5870 1gb incase this helps here is my error messege. any help would be great :)

I'd reinstall wolfenstein, make sure you delete any remaining files/folders in program files or your documents when you do. Then reinstall drivers if that doesnt help. If neither of those work, supersample a low resolution :p

yes i recently upgraded from a gtx 285 im struggling to find the reason why it does this. i have deleted wolfenstein many many times even tried it from a fresh install of windows 7

How are you specifying the custom resolution? I don't have ET installed but I do have Q3 and as it's the same engine I imagine it's similar where by you should be editing the resolution you want through the .cfg file (eg. q3config.cfg in baseq3 folder)

I have these 4 lines (overwrite the existing ones)
seta r_customheight "900"
seta r_customwidth "1440"
seta r_fullscreen "1"
seta r_mode "-1"

mode -1 tells it to run at the custom resolution.

I get the same error if I was to put in an invalid resolution so would guess your either entering the resolution wrong, or choosing one your monitor doesn't like. If it's still not working maybe try creating a custom resolution within the ATI drive control panel.

Edit- just reading the output log your trying to run at 1600x1200 which your monitor won't be able to output by default (your monitor has a max of 1920x1080). If you set the resolution manually as above it should work at the correct resolution for your screen.

Make sure r_displayrefresh matches your display or better is set to 0... IIRC theres a 59/60Hz bug in windows 7 where the mis-match can cause problems with the q3 engine.

CPU Will always say P3 as that was the most advanced architecture specific opptimisation the game engine supported at the time.
