I'm planning on buying an Canon 40D second hand

To me, it seems a greap oppertunity to bag a bargain, obviously taking a risk that it doesnt have a warranty with it but is there anything i need to bear in mind ?

Shutter count is an indication of usage, look for marks which look like it might have been dropped, which could cause, especially in lens misalignment. Drops also damage the battery and then finally the battery life may not be what it was some cameras tell you what the battery life is like.

was planning on buying one with a battery grip anyway so not bothered about battery life.

Physical condition is an obvious one.

For buying on ebay how would you tell the buyer to find out how many clicks its done ?
