I'd seen Karun's tweets about it's progress and thought it was a lot further along than that. It really doesn't look like it's going to be ready in a years time, even if it was it would most likely be somewhat compromised.
With all the issues surrounding the Commonwealth Games, it doesn't bode well, despite Karun saying they are a private company doing the construction.

That hotel is the Marina Bay Sands a la Sands Casino in Vegas. The top is a skydeck with an infinity pool for guests as well as a number of nice restaurants. In general, it's an awesome complex.
Now I need to decide if I can be bothered to go and watch in person tomorrow or if I should just watch from the comfort of my couch and just open the windows for the sound effects
