My graphics card blew the other day so I was looking for a new one, then realised my PC is pretty out of a date and my mate is selling a GTX 260 for £50. So I thought I'd just go for an upgrade. (Im not really into overclocking)
Here is my old spec:
Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
E6600 @ 2.4
6Gb Corsair CM2 6400
8800GTS 640MB (This doesnt work any more)
80GB Intel SSD
2 x 500 GB Seagate HHD's.
Corsair 520w Modular PSU.
Newish PCI-E Audigy Sound Card
I was thinking to upgrade the main components (CPU/Memory/Mobo/GC) to this:
Intel Core i5 650, Dual Core Clarkdale - 3.2GHz, 4MB Cache
Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L. Intel H55 Express, PCI-E 2.0, DDR3 2000, SATA 3Gb/s, RAID, ATX
4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 Classic - DDR3 PC3-10666 (1333)
GTX 260
These 4 comes to a total of around £330 which I think is pretty good.
Im running the graphics card in my old rig now and I don't seem to have a a problem with the power so I don't think I need to upgrade this.
Is there any changes you would recommend?
Would everything work ok together?
Cheers.
