Yes, it's possible, but I can't remember exactly where in the default firmware the option is.

By default it should respond to echo requests on the LAN interface.

WAN (I think) Basically I've just changed from a Netgear router to this and the TBB quality monitor is no longer working as it can't ping the new router.

I've disabled "Filter Anonymous Internet Requests" which it suggests would now allow ICMP pings but they're still being blocked.

Filter Anonymous Internet Requests. When enabled, this feature keeps your network from being “pinged,” or detected, by other Internet users. It also hides your network ports. Both make it more difficult for outside users to enter your network. This filter is enabled by default. Select Disabled to allow anonymous Internet requests.
