I have recently got myself a new computer upgrade and now I want to connect my old PC up to the network so I can use it as a storage solution and get all the necessary files off it.

Would I be better off going with a PCI card or would a dongle do the trick? I've had a look at this and just wanted to get people's thoughts on which way I should go.

They're six and half a dozen mainly. If you're planning on transferring much data between the machines wireless is going to be awful.

Here and There...
I got one of those cheap adapters and while it works it is maddeningly frustrating as it continually dropped it's conection speed from max to about 30mb which was slower than the G card it was replacing.

If your planning on transfering any significant quantity of data a wired conection is the only way to go, if you can't get an ethernet conection go home plug, wireless is for browsing and listening to music wired is for real networking.
