Not sure if these have been discussed before (couldn't find anything with a search), but possibly an option for those of us who are disappointed with the current crop of 24" IPS panels for one reason or another. I don't imagine the image quality will be *quite* comparable, but they should be usefully better than a TN, and any flaws should be easier to overlook at a purchase price of ~£175 rather than ~£350-£450.

Only 1920x1080, sadly, but I guess you can't really complain at the price.

A couple of reviews (not very detailed ones):

I guess the amount of *VA left-right contrast shift, black crush or whatever you want to call it will be a main factor, hopefully some decent reviews and/or buyer feedback will come back with some good news. :)

And you are very right about the black crush. The reviews that are up are so brief that I could've written them without even testing the monitor. Not really very useful! It seems from the specifications that it does use fairly aggressive RTC for a *VA panel so it could be decent. I'll hassle BenQ and try to get a sample some time.

VA panels may not be perfect (well, neither are IPS), but they are a huge step up from TN panels :) As long as the input lag is reasonable, this looks like it might be a cracking value screen!
