Having some diff's

Hello lads

Having abit of a problem at the minute, basically helping a friend of my Granada's son out at the minute, basically when he updates his laptop, his internal wireless is not recognized , battery meter in the toolbar or control panel isnt recognized and usb drives are not recognized when connected.

I have went into the update history, and took of the most recent updates from the date he said he had the problems. This means that you'll get the driver on for the external hard drives and the wirless .. but the power meter wont work or the other way round.

Ive checked on the net and its said something about the catroot2 ?

Im trying to get it done as soon and as quickly as i can for him.

Any idea's or help guys

sounds like a simple case of a bug in a new firmware release: i.e. they mucked up the program used to run it, if the old ones work fine just stick to those, if it tries to install automatically then just go to control panel, security, windows update, select updates, and unselect the updates that are causing the issue.

but there ones he needs, when he does a system recovery back to the point where it did work , when he does the updates again, it does the same.
