Can someone help me with this please:

TOTAL MacN00b, so if it's something obvious, don't shout!

Using Mail to log onto my IMAP account. Everything works a charm but is there any way of having my Inbox show "From" (and not show To) and have my Sent show "To" (and not show From)?

Whatever I set on one folder duplicates on the other!

Erm, I REALLY wish I could but I haven't a clue how to do that!!!

Let's just say, my Inbox has:

To: Subject: Date Received: Size

My Sent has:
To: Subject: Date Received: Size.

It seems that whatever column(s) I add in one folder, replicates in the other.

It's obvious that I don't want "To" in my Inbox (because the emails are all from me), likewise I don't want "From" in my Sent because again, the emails are from me.

Ah :)

I'm running mail 4.4 and all I do is right click on the column headers and unselect, it seems to allow me to have different layouts between the inbox and sent items here.

4.4 (1082) here and I don't have that problem.... Took me a while to set them all up as I like newest on top, and the default is newest on bottom. I have Exchange accoun, gmail account, hotmail account and imap account all setup..

OK, managed to get it working but don't understand why.

On my left hand navigation pane I DID have:

MAILBOXES
Inbox
MobileMe
jhirst
Sent
MobileMe
Trash
MobileMe
REMINDERS
Notes
MobileMe
RSS
MOBILEME
JHIRST
Sent
DeletedItems

But I've managed to somehow create a new folder in my Sent (the one with the paper aeroplane) which now DOES have separate column headers.

I'm still VERY new to OSX, just don't understand what I've done or why it wasn't working before!

Just 2, my MobileMe and my personal IMAP

Just Redone it so it wasn't working and changed it so it is.

If I click on a folder, then go to "Mailbox" and then "Use this folder for", if I change it to the Folder name on my IMAP folder, it works perfectly.

It's as if Sent and Trash aren't automatically mapped to Mail (only the Inbox is)
