My merc will hit this if i keep it (and it doesnt blow up) for another year or so.

Had a couple of W124's well in excess of this figure, but they are gone now :( (300E, and then a 230TE)

Well mine's on 231k, 93 E36 325i and still going strong.

Past cars that have been above this are 96 Citroen Xantia TD, sold at 297k after clutch gave up and i'd had enough of it. and a 97 Rover 800 Sterling on 202k when i got it, gearbox self detonated at 211k.

Service reguarly and they keep on going!!

In 2007 I bought a cheap 406 td to tide me over for a month or so while I was car searching, I bought it with 215k on the clocks but wasn't bothered as it was only £250. When I finally bought my new car I scrapped the 406 as it wasn't worth selling. Fast forward a few years and I was clearing out my spare room a couple of months ago and find the couple of documents that came with the 406 which I hadn't bothered looking at when I bought it. One of them was an MOT from 2004 iirc and the car had >300k on it then  lord only knows how many miles it had actually done when I had it some 3 years after that. I've still got the MOT, i'll see if I can get a picture of it.:D
