And for the record - Raiders was easily the best imo.

But he was blown out of the zone by the force of a nuclear explosion so im guessing about 700 mph if not more. Its completely feasible, but you would have to hold on tight to the door so it didn't open. THEN you would be in real trouble.

Iirc it was on a tower not underground, radation also is not a problem in the short term, most of it is ejected up into the atmosphere.

Yeah I saw that.

I thought though that it was going to be lowered down into the ground, as per how most of those actual bomb tests were done at the time. However since we don't see the actual detonation of the bomb, it's purely poetic license.
