AMD Phenom II X2 560BE core unlock?

The only way of finding out if the cores unlock is to put it in a board that provide the features for unlocking the cores.

core unlocking is a game of chance, best tip would be, if you need a quad core, then buy a quad, if a dual will be ok then get the dual and try unlocking :)

If he knows what's written on the box, he has probably already bought it.

In which case, it would be wise to tell us the make and model of your motherboard, so that we know whether it is possible to even attempt to unlock the other two cores.

All Phenom IIs have four physical cores and have a chance to unlock. However, many are locked due to defects or not making standards such as heat dissipation.

Your CPU stepping confirms that you have a four core deneb chip but if there is anything wrong with it unlocking may not be successful or the unlocked chip may be unstable. As others have said, you also need a motherboard that supports unlocking and the unlocked chip's power requirements. Many unlocked cups need a little extra voltage so heat can be an issue and good cooling can be needed.
