Skiing - Tignes

Has anyone been to Tignes in France?

Theres 10 of us and got a fantastic deal and are staying in 'Annapurna II' chalet

Cant wait, sounds like there will be some nice hard blacks for me to tackle!

Oh, how do you say Tignes?

It's prounounced 'Teen'. The Espace Kily is a fantastic ski area as you have all of Val D'isere to take on as well and if there's not much snow there is a glacier too. Not only that but Val Claret and Le Lac are both nice areas with lots of decent bars and restaurants (Tignes is a fairly big place). As far as a resort goes you can't go wrong (except for the high prices but if you're in a catered chalet then you've already done half the cost).

Having said that I just booked Deux Alpe next weekend, flights, transfers, catered chalet with wine for 279 gbp :)

thanks. That is a good deal you got. We paid £499 for that 5* chalet and flights

Time to look at piste maps, snow reports and the like :)
