Today I added a BlackGold dvb-t2 card to my HTPC, installed with no problems and has picked up BBC HD, ITV HD etc, only problem is Windows 7 can't seem to find any guide data on those channels. I've tried the 'download latest guide data' a couple of times, but still no luck.

Any ideas?

from a thread in another forum they said MS can't get the EPG data for HD due to MS not hiding/protecting the data but their was a hack for it.
they didn't elaborate on what the hack was though.


MCE scans the tuners then downloads a 14 day EPG from Microsoft. First problem - whoever controls the EPG will not supply any HD channel EPG info to MS, as it doesn't hide where it records to, and the recordings can be easily backed up. This easy to get round for BBC1HD,ITVHD and Ch4HD, as MCE allows you to map or copy the EPG data from any channel to any channel. For BBC HD there is a hack that will populate the EPG. Setting up recordings, series link etc, is very easy and clear.
