New build

Am looking at a new build and was wondering how much better will it be from my old system.

OLD
Q9650 @3.5ghz
Asus rampge formula
corsair domanator 1066mhz

NEW
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz
Asus Maximus IV Extreme Intel P67
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1866MHz

Your system is still pretty good in my mind, have you thought about overclocking the system. Also what do you use the the system for.

It was used manly for gaming. wasnt able to overclock the cpu to any thing over 3.5. just kept crashing....

That processor should be fine. What graphics card do you have?

Then you don't need to spend £400 on an upgrade

Drop an SSD in, that's all I would do.
