I had a lot of fun with the Warrior classes in the beta. I found Paragon/Champion/Paladin to be a really strong spec.

Paragon is an offensive spec and specialises in dual wielding and parrying attacks(Bit like a typical Rogue) and most points I put in here. Champion gives you Bull Rush ability which is just plain cool. But also Champion has some nice strength, attack power and crit buffs. Finally you have Paladin which gives you some nice defence and survivorbility. Some nice armour buffs, plus theres a talent called small arms specialisation which gives you 10% extra damage with 1 handed weapons. This ties in nicely with the Paragon spec. ;)

I will probably run with this spec on launch for leveling.

For PvP I would dual spec an replace Paragon with the Vindicator PvP soul. I would replace Champion but I think Bull Rush is far too useful for closing down players in PvP.

So PvP spec would go Vindicator/Champion/Paladin for me. Because Paragon is replaced I would go two handed with weapons instead of dual wield as I think you'd get some really nice burst damage and big crits from the Champion soul.

By the way. I'm finding the Zam Soul Tree Calculator the best for looking at specs. Of all the soul tree tools online it seems to look/work the best.

So aswell as open world pvp on the pvp servers does it have a feature similar to battlegrounds or something? Never got into pvp in an mmo game before.

Then i take it there should be a dungeon finder button like in WoW? Anything else to do for xp/gear other than quests?

No dungeon finder (thank god!)

There are battlegrounds called warfronts on pve servers as well as pvp servers, afaik not cross server. There may be a world pvp system in place at launch but we don't actually know, hopefully something more meaningful than random gankings will be involved.

And no flying mounts!

There is actually a dungeon finder, it just hasn't been turned on yet.

If you look on your toolbar you'll see a greyed out shield. As far as I know that's the dungeon finder?

edit: Apparently this isn't actually true, someone lied to me. :(

I dunno, I'm fairly neutral on flying mounts, they may be a bit gimmicky, but actually I was very impressed with the concept when WoW first used it (an original of theirs I think?)

Flying mounts arguably made world PVP in WoW even worse. People could just fly away and completely avoid contact with enemies.

Quick couple questions about getting into the open beta as I want to try out the game, are they planning on doing mass key release for the open beta or is it a case of pre-ordering the game and getting a pre-order code to try it out?

On pre-ordering the game, does anyone know for sure if no matter where you buy it you get open beta access most of the other places to buy it don't mention anything but the headstart, and some don't even mention that.

Seeing as its £25 some places and £35 direct through them I'd prefer to buy somewhere else, lastly, can you pre-order, use the code and cancel if you decide its not for you?

damm looks like i wont be able to get this game as i have to work down scotland for a month! dont think my laptop can play this game.

its a dual core T2300 with a X1600 ATI card. doable?

its min system requirements are actually pretty low, maybe try and get in the beta and give it a go? Think it may work at lowest possible settings/low res.

It actually scales extremely well, I can say for a fact you will get a very playable framerate on that laptop with those specs on the lowest settings.

Unfortunately due to the key which you will get in a note on your Overclockers Account (follow email instructions) it gives you full access to the whole game a week early. Therefore you can not return/refund the game.
