I assume you know about the USB driver update bug? apparently only affects the *.exe and Windows Update route.

Hmmm.

I checked System32\Drivers and in there my usbport.sys and usbehci.sys files are not updated and still showing version 7600.

However, my winusb.sys in there appears to be updated to the new version, 7601. :confused:

Still havent installed this yet,i used my Mrs netbook as a tester last night

and it seems ok.

Will prob install sometime this afternoon

Installed mine yesterday. Had a problem where it was stuck on the shutting down screen. Turned it off at the switch then rebooted with no problems (touch wood)

Anyone think that windows feels slower after this update? On bootup mine is definately slower at loading in internet explorer for instance.

my windows seems a bit more nippier with sp1, bootup seems slightly faster as well.

or i could just be imagining it all.

I seem to be getting a lot more of the force shutdown windows on restart or shutdown. Apart from that, I've noticed no difference.

I wasn't expecting this many issues with the Windows 7 SP1. Heard nothing back from any 7 users at work. Need to check this week if everyone has updated OK!

Had no problem on any of my machines using Windows Update or the Technet download.

Have tried every fix there is direct from Microsoft. Still can not get SP1 to install.
Seems to be junk to me

It wouldn't install on my Dad's pc. I think it was something to do with the system reserved 100mb partition causing the problem. I tried all the tricks and the SP1 readiness tool etc ...

Anyway, done a quick reinstall with the 7x64 SP1 iso.
